Our Aim
The aim of the Anexo Academy is to provide opportunities to candidates to obtain a legal qualification and progress into a legal career.
In addition, the Anexo Academy will support young people who may not traditionally have attended University to obtain a degree to achieve full qualification as a solicitor.
Paralegal Apprenticeship
This is a two-year course which carries a Level 4 Certificate of Higher Education in Legal Services.
This course covers:
- English Legal System
- Legal research
- Client care
- Professional Practice Skills
This has an End Point Assessment taken within the last three months of the apprenticeship overseen by an external assessor.
Grades required to apply
You are required to have 3 A-levels at Grade C (96 UCAS Points) and 5 GCSEs (Grades A* to C or 9-4) including an English and Maths equivalent.
In order to apply you will be required to undertake an application process and interview.
Solicitor Apprenticeship
This is a six-year course which carries a qualification as a Solicitor and an LLB with Hons in Law and Legal Practice.
The final two years of the Solicitor Apprenticeship includes the SQE (Solicitors Qualifying Exam) route to qualification.
If you have already completed the Paralegal Apprenticeship, you can join the Solicitor Apprenticeship at years three through to six, taking the SQE 1&2 in years five and six.
Grades required to apply
You are required to have 3 A-Levels at Grades A-B-B (128 UCAS Points) and 5 GCSEs at Grades A-C (or 9-4) including English and Maths.
Again, in order to apply you will be required to undertake an application process and interview.
SQE & QWE Supported Graduate Apprenticeship
The Graduate Apprenticeship runs over two years and eight months and carries a qualification as a Solicitor and a Diploma in Legal Practice. 20% of time during this course is spent as off-the job training. This is formal training time taken outside of the normal day-to day working environment.
Grades required to apply
You are required to have a 2:1 honours degree in law or a 2:1 honours degree in a non-law subject and pass a GDL. In order to apply you will be required to undertake an application process and interview
Classroom learning supported by BPP
As part of the Paralegal Apprenticeship, two weeks of “classroom” learning will also be completed. We have partnered with BPP University to carry out one week of classroom learning, the second week being taught by internal sources.
This will include:
- Enhanced Support Induction with the BPP Hub providing access to content, learning activities and assessments providing 24/7 support.
- Cyber Security/GDPR
- Time Management
- Microsoft Office Skills
- Life cycle of each case type in the business
