We are currently recruiting for a Cost Scheduler who will be based in Bolton. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about the work they do, the service they provide and getting the best results for their clients.

 

Providing bespoke Cost scheduling support to colleagues within the organisation. Working with colleagues within a close-knit team environment to ensure both individual and departmental scheduling expectations/targets are serviced and met. Responsible for management of allocated scheduling caseload and ensuring timely production of accurate/high quality schedules of costs in predominantly RTA claims (both Fast track and Multi track).

Responsibilities to include:

  • Drafting schedules of costs in accordance with Departmental requirements/workstreams to include schedules for interlocutory hearings, Trials and also for negotiation purposes.
  • Providing dedicated costs support to colleagues, both within the Department and the legal business
  • Working closely with colleagues and Department Manager/POD Supervisor within a team environment to ensure scheduling expectations are achieved
  • Maintaining awareness of claim lifecycles and ensuring that service delivery is maintained. Ensuring colleague/management expectations and outcomes are met in a timely fashion.
  • Identifying and adhering to department/group objectives
  • Showing initiative with ability to work within a team environment but autonomously (managing own scheduling caseload) and the initiative/capability to deal with more complex matters
  • Liaising with colleagues to maintain departmental working practices and procedures
  • Understanding legal processes and documentation including internal case management system.
  • Being passionate and enthusiastic about our work

  • Being agile/responsive to work and adapting to change and evolution within the business

 

 

About You:

 

  • Degree level (desirable)
  • Experience in a costs scheduling role or within a costs environment
  • Experience in drafting schedules of Costs (both fixed costs and hourly rate costs) in RTA claims
  • Excellent communication and organisation skills
  • Good understanding of the CPR, relevant legislation, case law and costs industry regulations
  • Experience of using Proclaim case management system (desirable)
  • Diligence and high attention to detail
  • Personality, tenacity and enthusiasm
