We are currently recruiting for a Cost Scheduler/Negotiator who will be based in our Liverpool Office. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about the work they do, the service they provide and getting the best results for their clients.

Responsibilities to include (but not limited to):
- Drafting Fixed Costs schedules/N260s/Precedent U’s in predominantly RTA matters (MOJ, Fast and Intermediate Fixed Costs).
- Comfortable negotiating on predominantly fixed costs cases.
- Providing dedicated costs support to colleagues and fee earners, both within the Department and the legal business.
- Working closely with colleagues and Department Manager/POD Supervisor within a team environment to ensure scheduling expectations are achieved.
- Maintaining awareness of claim lifecycles and ensuring that service delivery is maintained.
- Identifying and adhering to department/group objectives and targets.
- Showing initiative with ability to work within a team environment but autonomously (managing own scheduling caseload) and the initiative/capability to deal with more complex matters.
- Liaising with colleagues to maintain departmental working practices and procedures.
- Understanding of the relevant CPR and current Case Law.
- Ability to read and understand an Accounts ledger.
- Being passionate and enthusiastic about our work.

- Thinking independently and taking ownership of work.
- Being agile/responsive to work and adapting to change and evolution within the business.
About You:
- Experience in a costs scheduling/negotiating role or within a costs environment.
- Experience in drafting schedules (both fixed costs and hourly rate costs) in RTA claims.
- Excellent communication and organisation skills.
- Good understanding of the CPR and relevant Case Law.
- Experience of using Proclaim case management system.
- Diligence and high attention to detail.
- Personality, tenacity and enthusiasm.
